Glam of Sweden - No. 24

I must show a pink polish, I must!!! (it´s been a few days)

Two coats, no top polish.

It was a long time ago I took these pictures. It sure looks  nice though (the polish, not my fingers). I remember it being a little reddish pink with sparkly glitter in it. I don´t recall it smelling as bad as the other Glam of Sweden I´ve blogged about so far. I must use it again soon to find out.

Isadora - Metal Crush

I just came back from a trip down to Gothenburg and lo and behold, I went back from shopping without buying a single polish! It must be something wrong with me. Instead I picked up a new pair of shoes for my dog (whaaat?) and some sheepskin pads for my horse (weird!).

Two coats.

This is beautiful. I love it. Simply. Purely. Completely. It really looks like someone strew crushed metal over my nails. In the pictures it looks a little too gray, in real life it shifts in a grayish brown super glittery matte.

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 12

These two glitter toppers are polishes I found in my Easter egg gift from my mother.

Dollish Polish "Dinomite Yoshi" & "The Koopa King".

I am obviously a fan of the Nintendo Super Mario Bros games. These polishes has been on my wishlist since I found out about them. My mother also gave me "Toadally Awesome" from the same series. Now I´m only missing "1 Up", "Peachy Princess", "It´s a Me Mario", "Go Luigi" and "Wicked Wario". The three ones I´ve got are the ones I wanted the most of all of them, but of course having the whole collection would be sweet!

And I nearly forgot about these!

Glam Polish "Cha-Ching" & "Cash or Credit".

These two were ordered from Glam Polish´s website and shipped directly to Sweden. They just started shipping to more destinations than before which is so awesome. I did it together with a Facebook nail polish friend to keep the shipping cost down and it worked well. Still it was a lot more expensive than shipping them to the US, so I might continue to do just that like before.

Love Thy Polish - Gypsy

Me and my hubs swapped Easter gifts today. It is a tradition to give each other an egg full of candy here in Sweden. The eggs are made of cardboard and are decorated with Easter themed images. Since we are both on a kind of diet we skipped the candy for this year and gave each other little gifts in our eggs instead.

I have no idea how many coats I applied. It sure was many.

I was determined to make this polish opaque on it´s own and lost my count after five coats. It still didn´t turn out the way I wanted. With crelly polishes I am looking for the sandwich effect, but it was so hard to get the glitters to stick to the brush that I only got a few with me each time. And after a couple of coats the glitter kind of drowned in the white base and did not show at all. I might give this one one more chance by applying it over a white creme polish, but I am not sure it is worth the trouble.

Nivea - Yellow Sparkle

Today I am showing something yellow! (I wish I had saved KBShimmer "Chick Me Out" for this week. Oh well.)

3 coats.

Horrible pictures, horrible polish. I got this bottle of Nivea Beauté Mini in a lot of nail polish I found at a flea market last spring. It´s always so fun when you find a box for a 10kr or so, taking it home and see what´s in there. Sometimes almost all of them are useless, sometimes you hit the spot with an hidden O.P.I or a China Glaze. This one have all thumbs down. It was sticky and thick to apply, covered badly and worst of all; it stained. I am still recovering from the staining and I hate that. No wonder they stopped producing these.

Loréal - Coachelala

One more week to Easter! And of course I have to give the springy manicure feeling all I´ve got this week. I´ll be digging deep into my archives to find soft pastels, Easter yellows and flowery glitter toppers.

One blobbed coat of glitter over Sensinity "No. 87".

A glitter with flowers.. irresistible. It was pretty hard to get the flowers out, therefore I got a little bit too much base on and that caused the polish to bubble. It doesn´t look too bad though and next time I will choose to sponge it on.

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 11

Sunday again and time for me sum up the past weeks nail polish purchases. This polish is not exactly a purchase since it´s a gift I got from my mother. She really likes getting me things online at Tradera and surprise me with it at occasions like when we are eating lunch together.

Dollish Polish "Toad-ally Awesome".

It looks like a glitter topper with red, blue, white and golden glitter in it. I might have to sponge this cause it looks like it is a little bit base heavy. Tons of kisses to mom for this gift!!

Color Club - Over the Moon

Yesterday I was attending to a nail polish auction which was being kept by a fellow nail polish nerd at Facebook. She was auctioning out a set of three super rare Indie polishes. The starting bid was at 500kr and I was planning to place a bid near the ending of the auction for 900kr. 300kr a bottle, not too bad, I was thinking. I never bothered to place the bid though, the price for the polishes soon went up sky high all the way to 1300! It was a good time to watch people outbid each other and I bet the seller was pleased with the ending price.

2 coats and top coat.

What else can I say about the Halo Hues... I will put together a summary for them tomorrow, when I show the last one in my possession. Just enjoy these photos for now!

Color Club - Cosmic Fate

I honestly think I have the worst memory ever. I love blogging and I have made a plan to show all my Halo Hues this week (which means I have to blog every day) and yet I forgot to post yesterday. Perhaps I should start setting up posts to automatically show a certain date. I might be able to figure out how to do that...

Total coverage with one coat!

This is so not my color, it´s kind of like a nude holo. But I still think it´s beautiful. Like the rest of the Halo Hues it dries super slow. A fast drying top polish is a necessity for them, at least if you don´t want to resort to not touching anything for about half a day. It is no problem however, cause the holo effect does not get affected by the top polish.

Color Club - Eternal Beauty

It seems like yesterdays post got posted today. Hm... I wonder what happened there. Anyway, I have not been at the SPA today. It´s been a regular, boring workday. The polish I am about to show is far from boring however. Just look!!

One coat and top polish as always.

I´m just going to repeat myself and say that this polish is awesome. All the Halo Hues are. Anyone having something bad to say about them?

Color Club - Cloud Nine

Today I spent the morning at the local SPA. It was so nice, relaxing and fun. They had no less than 8 different pools in the area with different themes like the Flower Pool (my favorite) which was wild flower scented and the Heaven Pool which had "rain" coming from the ceiling dripping down into the hot water. They also offered manicures there but that´s not for me, I love doing my own nails too much!

Two gorgeous coats and Seche Vite.

When I applied this polish my only thought was "Is this for real??". It is so beautiful, such a soft, sweet pink color. So far it´s the best one of all the Halo Hues I have used. I wish I had better pictures of it but at least the holo effect shows well.

Color Club - Beyond

This week I am going to show off all my Color Club Halo Hues. I know there are a lot of them and I haven´t managed to get ahold of all of them. It is definitely a goal that I have with my nail polish collecting since I love them all so far!

One coat and top polish.

This one is my least favorite of all of the ones I have. Mostly because I simply don´t like dark polishes much. It is very easy to work with however, gives complete coverage in one coat and doesn´t get less holo with fast drying top polish.

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 10

Now to the polishes I received this week! They come from my very super hyper favorite brand Glam Polish!!

Glam Polish "Pisces" & "Leo"

I managed to get my hands on these thanks to a very nice Facebook group we have here in Sweden. Almost every month members of the group get together and order Indie nail polish from online shops around the world. The reason for the get together is too minimize the cost for shipping, it can sometimes become quite pricey if you order small orders on your own. A lot of online shops even give you free shipping if you place an order with high enough value.
Getting these was the first time I ever joined a get together order like this, and it was great! Both "Pisces" and "Leo" are store exclusives to the online store "Hypnotic Polish" which resides in the Netherlands. They are selling more polishes from the store exclusive "Zodiac Collection" but these two were obvious choices for me since it´s me and my hubby´s star signs. I payed about 235kr for them including shipping. Don´t they look just awesome?

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 9

Today I am going to start a project I´ve been thinking about for a while now. The plan is to represent what nail polishes I have obtained during the past week. So every Sunday from now on I will show off what nail polish I have gotten and a little description of them and how and where I got them. It´s mostly a way for me to keep track of how much polish I actually buy and get as a gift. My brain works in the mysterious way that when I feel I haven´t gotten any new bottles for a while I start feeling frustrated. It is very rare that I go for too long without getting anything new, but when that feeling strikes me I can´t shake it off until I buy some more polish. And my wallet doesn´t like it. So from now on I can look back in my diary and actually see that I have gotten lots of polish in the near past, so I don´t have to feel frustrated and buy more polish. How about that? I hope it will work out...

I am a week behind on this so I will post two Weekly Polish Haul posts today. One from week 9, and that´s the one I´m going to start with naturally.

O.P.I "Let´s Do Anything We Want" & "Comet In The Sky" & "Rising Star".

China Glaze "Ruby Pumps" & "Glitter Me This" & "Shut The Front Door".

Isadora 746 "Silk Road" & Depend No. 335.

These are the polishes I bought in week 9. My hubs and I went to a Lego convention in the town of Halmstad which is not far from the shopping village of Ullared that I´ve spoken of before. Of course I had to pick up some polishes there, I new they had Isadora, China Glaze and Depend from previous visits, but to my surprise I founds some O.P.I! They retailed at 70kr a piece which is pretty much half price on O.P.I.s you buy here in other stores. The China Glazes were 50kr a piece and the Isadora I snatched out of a sale bin for a mere 20kr (usually sells for 80kr).

Dollish Polish - It´s So Fluffy I´m Gonna Die

It´s been four posts ago I showed something pink. What???

It´s three coats of polish and top coat.

It doesn't really make me think about stuffed unicorns toys (that´s what the name is referring too, it´s from the movie "Despiceable Me"). It´s more like a strawberry sundae with meringues and cream on top. Now that gives me a sweet tooth! It took a little bit of work to get it opaque. I usually don´t have patience with polishes that take more than two coats to cover completely, but this one was well worth the trouble.

Glam Polish Aphabet City Collection

Last night my spouse and I went to my parents side of the house to have a little evening celebration for my birthday. We were supposed to eat some scones together and watch the Melody Festival. I got tons of gifts from my parents and my sneaky little fiancée had saved a present for me for him to give too (he gave me lots of wonderful gifts on my actual birthday on Wednesday). And in the package I found nothing less but...

...the entire Alphabet City Collection from Glam Polish!!!

I don´t think I´ve even been so happy! Obviously I can´t wait to try them all out and show them here in my diary!

Color Club - Kismet

I just realized that I haven´t posted more than one post with a holo polish. It´s a shame! Holographic polishes have one of the most awesome finishes there is and I know that many nail polish fans think the same. So... here goes!

Two perfect coats and a top coat.

Is it possible not to like the Color Club´s Halo Hues? I don´t think so. No Aqua Base is necessary for any of them, they don´t drag and they don´t look less holo with a fast drying top polish. For me it was love at first sight.

Deborah Lipmann - Forget You

What else could I follow up yesterdays post with if not this?

 Two coats and Seche Vite.

It´s stunning. There is nothing else to say. If you don´t have it, buy it. Now.
