Vacation!

The blog is taking vacation! I am leaving for three weeks now to rest and recharge in the beautiful countryside of Kinnekulle. My plan is to go hiking a lot, eat good food and spend as much time as possible with my dog. And to do a lot of nail polishing of course!

Lilypad Lacquer - Sleek

Manicure: Four coats of "Sleek".

Note: This polish is one of the most amazing holos I´ve ever seen. Maybe it´s supposed to be a holo topper, but I made it cover in four coats.

Lilypad Lacquer - Frogs Alive

Manicure: Three coats of "Frogs Alive".

Note: This is a very sheer polish. Two coats shows vnl. The color is very poisonous!

Lilypad Lacquer - Bayside

 

Manicure: Three coats of "Bayside" and Glisten & Glow "HK Girl".
Note: I love the name (Bayside Prince is the name of one of my horses) and the color. Just wish there were a few more dark flakies in there.

Lilypad Lacquer - Take me away

Manicure: Four coats of "Take me away" and Glisten & Glow "HK Girl".
Note: This is a super sparkly glitter. It covers well in four coats.

Brand Presentation - Lilypad Lacquer

Lilypad Lacquer is a Indie polish based in Australia. It is quite popular here in Sweden and is easy to find on the second hand market. 

I don´t know if it´s still an active brand, their web shop contains very few polishes, but the Facebook page looks updated.

Glam Polish - Ultraviolet Galaxy

Manicure: Two coats of "Ultraviolet Galaxy" and Essie "Gel Setter".

Note: This really isn´t my kind of polish, but I really like it!

Glam Polish - Daily Dilemma

Manicure:Three coats of "Daily Dilemma" and one coat of Glam Polish "Magic Shine Topcoat".

Note: It´s very pretty, i love this shade of lilac!

Glam Polish - Stranger Things

Manicure: Three coats of "Stranger Things" and Glisten & Glow "HK Girl".

Note: It left some empty patches so three coats was necessary. Very sparkly and holographic.

Glam Polish - The Crystal Of Truth

Manicure: Three coats of "The Crystal Of Truth" and Essie "Speed Setter".

Note: This polish is beautiful, but perhaps a little bit too dark for my taste...

Purple Glam Polish Week

Who else is counting down for their summer vacation? I know I am! two more weeks to go and then

I´ll be free to sleep long in the mornings, take my time to eat my meals and spend all day outside in the nature. All the things I feel I never have time for.

This week I put together four purple polishes from Glam Polish. They all come from different collections and they are all lovely. 

O.P.I - Let´s Do Anything We Want

Manicure: Three coats of Glam Polish "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and one coat of "Let´s Do Anything We Want".

Note: Excellent payoff. Just a little hard to get the square glitter out.

O.P.I - You Pink Too Much

Manicure: Four coats of Lilypad Lacquer "Sleek" and one coat of "You Pink Too Much".

Note: The base had dried up a bit so it was very easy to apply.

O.P.I - Snow Globetrotter

Manicure: Three to four coats of Essie "Jade to measure" and two to three coats of "Snow Globetrotter".

Note: It was hard to get the glitter out. Not much of it in the bottle it seems.

O.P.I - Gone Gonzo!

Manicure: Three coats of Glam Polish "Stranger Things" and one coat of "Gone Gonzo!".
Note: The application is good, it´s not just that special.
