Deborah Lipmann - Candy Shop

Today I am showing a polish that everyone must have in their collection. And pretty much everyone do, right? It´s a real classic and loved by many mani-acs.

The pictures show two coats of polish and one coat top polish.

This polish really is superior. It´s has everything. Pink cuteness, sparkly colorful glitter and easy application. This polish and a glossy fast-drying top polish is all you need for a perfect mani!

H & M - Gold Rush

I am really into H & M polishes right now, the ones I´ve tried so far has been awesome. Last week they had a sale, buy three pay for two, and on top of that I had a certificate for 250kr to redeem. Needless to say what I decided to get there?

Two coats.

This is actually the polish I am using on my nails in my blog title. I liked it so much! The brush in the new H & M bottles is super wide and I really like that. The nail polish is sparkly, it is golden, and my nails look pretty darn good in these pictures so, what´s not to like?

Essie - Go Ginza

I can´t say I really like the kind of polishes Essie usually makes, it´s mostly cremes and I am a glitter girl. Somehow I have ended up with twenty or so of them in my collection and I have no idea how that happened.

Two coats and top polish.

This is one of the last horrible cuticle picture I have taken. I am so happy I have started to go through them all! This Essie polish is nothing extraordinary. It´s a cute light pink creme with nice coverage. The unevenness in the pictures comes from my roughed up nails, not from the polish. I like it and it´s a good creme to use as a glitter base.

Gina Tricot - Hearts

My last heart manicure for the season of this years Valentines. I was actually surprised how many heart glitter polishes I had in my collection. It was quite fun to dig the swatches out and post them side by side.

Gina Tricot "Hearts"

Placed out heart glitter over China Glaze "Exceptionally Gifted" and top coat.

The hearts were very easy to get out but a bit tricky to place on the nail. They stubbornly enough wanted to stay on the brush and also liked clinging together. In the bottle they look mostly pink but one applied they mirror all kinds of colors. I can´t put my finger straight on it, but it´s something with this glitter I don´t like.

KBShimmer - You Rock My Heart

Happy Valentines Day!!! Even though it will suck for me since I am abandoned by my fiancée, I wish everyone else a wonderful day full of love and passion for each other. And of course I have to be posting a manicure with a heart theme.

This mani shows one coat of glitter over Glam Polish "Illusion" and top coat.

And here over a nameless Primark Beauty polish with Seche Vite.

This is a fantastic glitter polish! Just like all the KBShimmer´s glitter toppers I´ve tried so far it has excellent payoff and application. The combo in the last picture didn´t turn out good. I managed to match the neon pink a little too well, you can hardly see the pink glitter. The blue base looks a lot nicer. I have also seen it swatched over a light pink base color which is something I definitely have to try next time.

Jordana - My Superstar

I am pretty sure Jordana is a budget brand which comes from the US. I am not positive, but I remember picking it up at Tradera. Tradera is the Swedish equivalent of eBay. Sometimes you can find rare polishes or good deals there.

Two coats of glitter and top polish over Depend "054".

As you can see this is a comparison to the glitter I wrote about in my previous post. The base color is the same. I thought the glitter looked kin of the same in the bottle but they are entirely different. This one I like a lot. It was easy to get out of the bottle and on the nails, super sparkly and most of all it smells like nail polish should. Five out of five for this nail polish!

Glam of Sweden - 39

I am sure I have said this before, but don´t buy this polish brand unless you can sit by an open window and breathe through your mouth the whole time you do your nails. And afterwards. And the next few days you plan to wear it. Yes, it even smells horrible after it has dried. With Seche Vite on.

Two coats of glitter over Depend "054" + top coat.

I find it very hard to like a polish which smells like this. And I usually love the scent of nail polish. It doesn´t even justify the price which is usually low on these. It wasn´t until it was too late that I noticed that the base in this glitter was tinted to yellow which ruined my combo idea. I guess I have seen worse manicures in the past, but this is really ugly. And did I mention that it stinks?

Maybelline - Hyper Jade Greenwich

Kind of a cool name on this polish. Sounds really British to me. I found this bottle for 5 crowns at a flea market last year and decided to try it. I mean, 5 crowns! That´s like 0,5 dollars. Could you just walk by a nail polish bottle at that price without getting it? I know I can not.

2 coats and top coat.

This is a cold, mossy green creme. I absolutely love the color. But I hate the polish. It was a horrible stainer, and of course I wasn´t wearing any base coat under it... I am very disappointed in this since I like the color so much and it was easy to apply. I was hoping for a great green base color to use for my glitter toppers. But is it really worth it when it stains so much? Very few polishes are in my book. I will however give it one more chance with a couple coats of base polish next time. Perhaps that will do the trick.

H & M - Diamond Frost

Two H & M polishes in a row! Oh well, I really like their nail polish, old as well as new, so that was bound to happen eventually.

2 coats over Claudia " Ballet Beauty" + Seche Vite.

This is a fantastic polish! The pink micro glitter sparkles in all the colors of the rainbow. I really like the combination I made too, it´s so girly and pretty.

H & M - Free Your Mind

I like the name on this polish, it really is beautiful. Perhaps it will help me to free my mind if I use it often enough...

2 "coats" of glitter over Mavala "White".

The notes I made about this polish is that it was "hard to make the glitter stick to the nail". I guess that means that when I applied it, it scraped off easily with the next brush stroke.  I must have succeeded pretty well though since there is a lot of glitter on the nails. The combo is a failure though, this glitter would look a lot nicer over I brighter base color.

Pretty & Polished - Put A Bling On It

After this post I have four more ugly picture posts to offer. I can not wait to get it all over with, perhaps this week already? After that I have a folder on my computer called "old but nice photographs". I do want to try to blog about newer manicures I have made, but it will probably take a looong time before I get to that. I am impressed by myself though, taking pictures and documenting my polishes even though I didn't used to have a blog to post them on.

Sponged glitter on H & M "Gold Glitter".

Here shown on top of Glam Polish "Illusion".

For starters I recommend sponging this. It was pretty hard to get the diamond shaped glitter out and required a lot of fishing. Even though I turned the bottle upside down for a good while before application, the bigger glitter pieces sank to the bottom again after a couple of nails. I am not too thrilled about the color combinations I choose either. The glitter didn´t really pop the way I wanted it too. I bet this would be a stunner over black regardless of me not liking dark nail polish. To be continued!

Isadora - Water Rose

These pictures are quite awful. I am really considering not posting them. But it is such a nice polish, and when will I ever get around to use it again? I have about 300 other nail polishes to try...

Two coats of "Water Rose".

For being a cheer looking polish this one was surprisingly opaque. Two coats were enough and it really is a lovely, shimmery pink. In the pictures it looks a bit streaky, but that wasn't  prominent in real life.
