Brand Presentation - Depend

Depend is a Swedish mainstream brand. Some call it a budget brand but I do not agree with that, the bottles are usually cheap that´s true, but they are also very small. Personally I really like Depend´s polishes. They come in tons of different colors and finishes and new ones are released all the time. Their LE polish collections has been quite awesome, such as their holos, sugar polishes and glitter toppers. They are available in most stores selling nail polish here in Sweden as well as numerous online cosmetic shops.

Zoya - Storm

 

Manicure: Three coats of "Storm".
Application: It drags a bit and leaves patches. I´ll use an Aqua Base next time.
Grade: 3  
 

Literary Lacquers - Laters Baby

 

Manicure: Two coats of "Laters Baby" + Seche Vite.
Application: No problem.
Grade: 4  

 

Glam Polish - Ciao Bi#%$es

 

Manicure: Isadora "Peel Off Base", two coats of "Ciao Bi#%$es" + Seche Vite.
Application: No issues at all.
Grade: 4

 

Above the Curve - Ravenclaw

 

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", three coats of "Ravenclaw" + Seche Vite.
Application: It was a little bit hard to get complete coverage.
Grade: 4



Black Holographic Polish Week

Hello and welcome to this weeks polishes! I am not very fond of darker nail polish, but I can not keep myself from collecting at least a few black holos. These four are a few of the ones I have in my collection, and surprisingly I love them all!



Weekly Polish Haul - Week 3

I´ve been trying to cut down on my nail polish purchases. The polish hauls I had over Christmas has been crazy. Right now I really feel like I need to organize and sort everything I have. I have started by putting up some new shelves on the wall, done some stick swatching and organizing my folders for the blog entries. I still have a long way to go, and have no illusion that I will ever have everything in order, but it really feels good not to have a total mess around me anymore.

O.P.I - Gargantuan Green Grape

 

Manicure: Home made peel-off, three coats of "Gargantuan Green Grape" + Seche Vite.
Application: Comes out of the bottle like water, gives no coverage, leaves patches and dries way too fast.
Grade: 1

 

Isadora - Flip Flop

  

Manicure: Two coats of "Flip Flop" + Seche Vite.
Application: Thick, goopy and dries way too fast.
Grade: 1

  

 

H & M - Lapis Lazuli

  

Manicure: Two coats of "Lapis Lazuli" + Seche Vite.
Application: Just terrific. A one-coater.
Grade: 5

  

Essie - Sand Tropez

 

Manicure: Isadora "Peel Off Base", two coats of "Sand Tropez" + Seche Vite.
Application: Pretty sheer but covers ok with two coats.
Grade: 2

  

Finish Week - Creme Polish

This week I am going to show four different creme polishes from four different brands. Creme is my least favorite finish of polish, not because I don´t like the look of them but because it is usually so hard to make them look good. Finding a really good, easy to apply creme polish is something I am always on the hunt for. And when I do it is a keeper for life!

This week I stumbled upon a massive nail polish destash on Facebook. The girl selling the polishes had a lot of European sugar polishes which are very sought after by me. They are usually pretty old and hard to come by. I even discovered a few new brands I´ve never heard of/owned before!

Dollish Polish - The Koopa King

 

Manicure: Isadora "Peel Off Base", two coats of a numberless Depend, a sponged coat of "The Koopa King" + Seche Vite.
Application: Just like "Dinomite Yoshi" this must be sponged.
Grade: 4

Dollish Polish - Peter Cottontail

  

Manicure: Two coats of "Peter Cottontail" + Seche Vite.
Application: The base looks milky but applies clear.
Grade: 2

  

Dollish Polish - Dinomite Yoshi

 

Manicure: Isadora "Peel Off Base", two coats of Depend "No. 410", a sponged coat of "Dinomite Yoshi" + Seche Vite.
Application: The glitter is sparse so it has to be sponged.
Grade: 4
