La Femme - Carnivall

Up for New Years is another La Femme glitter polish. It´s well worth showing off, their glitters are wonderful! This will be my New Years manicure for 2015, if I can make it hold for another day. I am very fond of using peel-off bases and they tend to fall off too fast for such a hard working girl as myself.

I used the sponging technique with this glitter due to the heavy base.

So, what do you think? I like the combo a lot. I should mention I used Glam of Sweden No. 62 as undies. I think it reminds me a little bit of fireworks and sparkling champagne. Happy New Year!!!

Color Club - Holiday Splendor

Just a few more days to New Years now! Did you all load up with fireworks? Or perhaps shooting fireworks at New Years is not as big in the US as it is here. In Sweden it is the one night for shooting fireworks, the sky is usually so velvety blue, full of twinkly stars and a perfect background for all the colorful lights. It is a show I truly enjoy every year and a perfect way to start the new one!

Just two simple coats and a top coat.

This is yet another perfect nail polish. Everything about it is just splendid. I´ve read about it on a few different blogs and everyone say that for a good reason. To me it feels almost like a holo glitter polish from Glam Polish. And who doesn´t love them?

Claudia - Green Marine

Happy, Happy Christmas!!! Right now I am sitting by my beloved computer (it´s an awesome one thanks to my dearest hubby), eating ravioli from a can and enjoying the suspense for the Christmas celebrations. This will be my last Christmas polish for this year and also the one I will wear tonight at the party.

Manicure: Three coats of  "Green Marine" + Seche Vite.
Application: Quite sheer, 3 coats is necessary.
Grade: 3

This polish is quite sweet for a dollar. It is a nice forest green with green glitters and subtle blue shimmer.

Like above plus KBShimmer "Candy Cane Crush".

And this is my Christmas mani for 2015. I already blogged "Candy Cane Crush" so it ended up being the base color I used for the theme in this post. Like I already said I can´t get over that it´s scented, and will enjoy sniffing my nails all day long!

Pahlish - Italian Cream Soda

So close to Christmas now. Today I have a midnight blue sky with the most sparkly stars you can imagine. It was a time consuming mani to make but so-oh worth it!

This is 2 coats of Depend No. 41 and 1 coat of Pahlish glitter + top coat.

I don´t know what else to say but that this is a superior glitter. Lots of it comes out with the brush, and it´s not goopy or thick at all. It sparkles in all kinds of different colors, but tends to look a bit greenish blue. You can somewhat see it in the pictures. If you don´t have it and get the chance to get it, DO IT!

China Glaze - Glitter All the Way

Manicure: Two coats of "Glitter All The Way" and Seche Vite.
Note: This polish gets wonderfully opaque in just two coats. It is the ultimate Christmas mani. It´s sparkly, it´s colorful and though a little on the thick side, quite easy to apply. You will need two coats of top coat however, to get that surface completely smooth.
Grade: 4

KBShimmer - Candy Cane Crush

Another KBShimmer Christmas nail polish was found on my shelf. And not just any polish but a scented one!

One coat of glitter over Nordic Cap of Sweden "NP 33".

One coat over Isadora "Polar Nights" and top polish.

I don´t know how I ended up trying it over 2 different blue undies, but that´s how it went. I like it lots over both, but my pick would be Isadora. And I can´t wait to layer it over something green! The base in the bottle looks a little tinted to yellow, I don´t know if it´s true but I have a theory that it´s because the base has scent in it. Apparently you could choose between whether you wanted it scented or not ordering it online, but I wouldn´t know for sure since I got my bottle second hand. The aroma is total awesomeness. It smells sweet peppermint, even after adding top coat. I absolutely love it.

KBShimmer - Christmas Now

Starting to feel like I´ve caught myself a flu. Oh well. Better a week before Christmas than over the holidays at least. Just don´t want to stay home from work because I need the money so I can buy more nail polish, he he.

Used 2 coats and top coat for this one.

The only thing I have to say about this polish is PERFECT. It´s perfect in every nail polish aspect.
Super easy application, beautiful color combinations and the circle glitter and stars are to die for. The glitter comes out on it´s own, the stars don´t stick out at all and the jelly base makes it look 3D big time. I simply just love it.

Nordic Cap of Sweden - NP 34 & NP 53

ManicureThree coats of "NP 34" and Seche Vite.
Note: This is a red micro glitter polish in a red jelly base. I added an extra coat from the usual two to get a deeper feeling and think it turned out pretty well!
Grade: 3

Manicure2 coats of "NP 34" and 2 coats of "NP 53" + top coat.
Note: The following mani is definitely my favorite one of the two. It´s brighter and more glittery. I really like them both though, and for such a cheap price they are great!
Grade: 3

Mavala - Magic Circus

The weather here is so crazy. It´s been windstorming for a few days now, so bad that I haven´t been able to keep my horses out in their pens. The days are all dark and the only thing to do is to stay inside with the lights on and sort my nail polish collection.

The top two pictures show one coat of Mavala over China Glaze "White On White" plus SV.

Two coats of "Magic Circus" over white and top coat.

This glitter topper is perfect for a Christmas manicure. It has such a great coverage on two coats that it almost gets opaque. I can´t really decide weather I prefer it with one or two coats, it´s quite nice both ways.

KBShimmer - Kringle All The Way

The second of Advent is over and we are proceeding with high speed toward Christmas Eve. It is time to dig out all those colorful Christmas polishes I´ve been waiting to try all year!

KBShimmer "Kringle All The Way"

The mani shows one dabbed coat of glitter over Nordic Cap of Sweden "NP 33".

This glitter is a real classic. It´s a have-to for any glitter polish lover. As you can see it consist of circular glitter only, and who doesn't like circular glitter? I am going to have a lot of fun combining this with a lot of different undies, Christmas is saved!

Isadora - Black Galaxy & Polar Nights

Today I am showing a pair of polishes that has been real classics in Sweden. I guess that is why Isadora decided to rerelease them in this years "Holiday Nails Collection". My bottles are older I´m afraid, as cheap as I am I bought them used instead. The Isadora polish is quite expensive with their 79kr a bottle for a mere 6ml.

"Black Galaxy" & "Polar Nights"

These pictures shows two coats of polish and one coat of Seche Vite.

I don´t really like black polishes much. I never really have. But if it has too be one, this is the type of black varnish I can learn to like. It sparkles beautifully with holographic glitter in bright light. If it´s a keeper? I don´t know.

Two coats of polish, one top coat.

This one I like slightly more, even though it doesn´t sparkle as much (and that is always a plus, right?). It is a dark midnight blue which catches my attention. I would wear this again, if I necessarily have to wear a dark colored polish for some reason. I can usually find reasons not to though.

Pretty & Polished - Cuttlefish

Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered... That is almost what it feels like making it through a Swedish winter. And we are not even halfway yet. Every day is grey and dark and wet. Luckily I can cheer myself up with happy color combinations of nail polish!

2 coats as always. ; )

This polish a thermal effect, it changes color in hot and cold environment. The easiest way to test the color change is, obviously, by rinsing your´nails with hot or cold water. It is actually quite fun to do it! It was very hard to get the glitter out of the bottle, so I kind of gave up on that. I like the base though, it has a bit of a springy feel to it.

Lynnderella - Princess in Punkatory

Happy Thanksgiving! And Happy Black Friday!! I´m hoping you have been able to get some great nail polish deals today at the sales. I know that I have. Can´t wait too see all the polishes I ordered online today, it seems like forever to wait till next week. But until then, another nail polish swatch I did over a year ago. This one is so weird. I wonder what I was thinking...

One coat "Princess in Punkatory" layered.

I don´t even remember what I layered it over. I think it was some kind of budget brand polish. I really like it though, it´s totally packed with glitter like most Lynderellas are. I really have to reswatch this sometime, the pictures are so weird. What are those orange dots in the second picture? A UFO just landed? And my cuticles looks like they need a makeover. Oh well.

Nail Polish finds at Ullared

Fisrt of all I´m sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I had a very good reason not to blog though! I went to one of Sweden´s biggest and supposedly cheapest department store to spend all my money. And of course some of that money was spent on... can you guess?

China Glaze "Let´s Dew It", "Liquid Leather" & "Check Out the Silver Fox"

China Glaze "White on White", "Nova" & "Exceptionally Gifted"

Depend "Bohemian Chic" Collection

Depend No. 448, 363, 421 & 462

Claudia "Metallic Spice", "Sparkling Purple", "Raspberry", "Lilac Glamour" & "Pink Ladies"

Isadora "Angel Wings", "Wine Crush" & "Dazzling Aqua"

Not a bad haul! I didn´t pay much for these at all compared to what they cost in regular stores. The China Glaze bottles were 50 crowns each (cost 69-89 crowns usually), 55 crowns for the Isadoras which always cost 79 in the cosmetic shops. The Depends are 25 to 39 crowns usually and now I payed 15 crowns for them. I have never found the Claudia polish anywhere else but at Ullared, except from seeing them pop up a online shops sometimes, and they are super cheap at 10 crowns each!
