Smitten - Be Mine

 

Manicure: Aqua Base, two coats of "Be Mine" + Seche Vite.
Application: Excellent. This is as good as a polish can get in my book.
Grade: 5

 

Brand Presentation - Smitten Polish

This week represents a brand called Smitten. It is an American Indie brand which does not longer exist. A while back (like a year ago or so?) the brand name got changed to Dreamland. Some of the more recent polishes released from Smitten are now available with the same name as before but sold as Dreamland polishes.

The third bottle shown in the picture is from older times. The newer, taller ones looks just the same as they are now sold with the new brand name.



Weekly Polish Haul - Week 4

I just spent a whole week in Gothenburg sanitizing an apartment down there for a friend. It´s been 7 days full of scrubbing and cleaning, sorting and washing, packing and carrying out trash. It´s been a lot of fun but not exactly a relaxing week of vacation!

Application: No problem at all. Love it!

Application: Perfect. Not at all goopy.

Pink Glam Polish Week

It´s the fourth week of the year, and the number four has always been a bit of a lucky number for me. I simply have so celebrate that with my favorite ever Indie brand; Glam Polish, and the most awesome color I know; pink!

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 3

I had a massive haul this week. So big it makes my knees tremble. Mark got me these on his trip to the US over Christmas. Zoya polishes are insanely cheap over at the States compared to here in Europe. I have always wanted to make my collection of sugar polishes, which is one of my favorite kind of finishes, bigger. To start with the Zoya Pixie Dusts comes pretty natural!

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", two coats of "Coffee Love". + Seche Vite on the last picture.
Application: Topcoat did not dull the holo effect.

Cupcake Polish - Autumn Is The New Spring

 

Manicure: Two coats of "Autumn Is The New Spring" + Seche Vite.
Application: Quite hard. It took a lot of effort to mix the base and glitter together. It was also very runny to apply and a little bit pulley. Well worth it though!

Gina Tricot - Expresso

 

Manicure: One coat of "Expresso" + Seche Vite.
Application: A definite one-coater. Dries a little too fast.
Grade: 3

Bourjois - (no name)

 

Manicure: Three coats.
Application: A little bit tricky. Three coats are necessary.

Color Week - Brown

It really is so much fun to have started blogging again. Not just for the blogging itself but because it inspires me to develop my artistic side with the nail polish business. I get more energy to swatch, make my list and sort and sell polish as well as actually paint my nails. And all these things are things I love doing!
This weeks color theme has been a bit of a challenge for me to put together. I have realized I do not own a whole lot of brown polishes. It has been really interesting to use a color I wouldn´t normally use. Another thing this blog inspires me to do!
