Delush Polish - Two Bees In A Pod

This is like the most awesome nail polish combo I´ve even came up with. I just so totally love it. Too bad the pictures were taken in such a crappy fashion...

The pictures show 2 coats of Claudia "Ice Glamour" and one coat of glitter + top coat.

I will so do this mani again some time and take some delicious lightbox pictures of it. "Two Bees In A Pod" didn't look like much to me in the bottle, but on the nails it is awesome! The glitter payoff was great, the circles, the bars and the holographic hexes were all easy to get out of the bottle.

Essie - Pinking About You

Another romance-looking mani. Hurrah! Yes, I do feel a little love-sick. A little. (read and weep my Love)

3 coats of Essie over Mavala "White".

I had to put on three coats of the glitter to get the amount of it on the nails that I wanted. Which, of course, caused it to get quite goopy. I should have sponged it on instead, I´m just not always that smart. Regardless of all the bubbles and the too-thick-look it is kind of cute though. I will definitely layer it over something else but white next time though.

KBShimmer - Chick Me Out

A yellow creme! Yay! We are getting closer to Easter. Hey wait, it was that thing with Valentines and my hubby going away and all that first right? Whatever!

3 coats and top polish.

This mani didn´t turn out too great. The polish was pretty hard to work with, some say yellows usually are, and it took me three whole coats to make it look somewhat good. And then the Seche Vite shrunk the top layers making it look kind of weird. I´m going to give this polish one more chance before I pass it on. I am loving the color though, it is as yellow as yellow can be.

Gina Tricot - Purple Multi Glitter

As usual on Sundays I´ve been trying to tidy my house up a bit. It is quite the challenge after a whole week of four cats, three rabbits, one dog and a husband trying to mess it down as much as possible. I have realized that what takes the most time is moving things around. Like moving an object from one location to another. And trust me, after a week it seems like none of our things are in the spot where they are supposed to be.

Two coats, one top coat.

This polish comes from a clothes shop chain called Gina Tricot. They often sell nail polish bottles 3 for ten dollars. It is a very nice deal, the bottles are pretty big and some of their glitters are quite unique. Like this one that just makes my jaw drop. The pictures do not do it justice. Two coats was enough to give it full coverage and it wasn´t goopy like many crazy glitters are.

H & M - Candy Crush

Good evening! Here in Sweden it is evening right now, pretty close to 11 at night. I am way too tired after a day of hiking in the snow with my dogs and hubby to write something too interesting. So I´ll just represent the polish.

2 coats.

This was for me most surprisingly a texture polish á la sugar polish. I thought it would just be a very cute salmon pink with gold glitter "regular" one. I simply and purely love it, since I am a huge texture fan. H & M really know how to nail it when it comes to making mainstream polishes. I used two coats of easy applicated polish. It does look a bit cheer in the photos, perhaps a third coat would have solved the issue of a possible VNL.

La Femme - Mixed Glitter

A serious horribly ugly pictures warning! I am getting closer to my nicer newer swatches however. Have about ten or so more polishes to post before I can start showing some newer pictures. My goal is to go through them all in January.

I sponged this polish on for full coverage, no top coat (?).

Another budget glitter from La Femme I like a lot. This is one of the first polishes I tried after I started my journey to become a real nail polish nerd. I don´t think I understood the idea of what a glitter topper like this is supposed to be used for. Anyway, I made a note that the polish is sparkly (really, a glitter?) and that I was surprised to find pink and yellow glitter in there as well as red, green, blue and silver.

Darling Diva - Radio Active

Tuesday has been the worst day of the week for me for a while. Mostly because the department where I clean on Tuesdays is so big. It is so stressful and almost impossible to get it all done in time. Today was no exception. Happy to be home now planning this evenings manicure!

2 coats of polish and 2 of Seche Vite.

I really really like this polish. Too me it´s very unique and so sweet with the light pink base and glitter and butterflies. Can it get much cuter than that? It was a bit chunky to lacquer with, the finish ends up a bit bumpy regardless of two coats of top polish. One big plus though was that the glitter payoff was superb. Next time I will try to layer it over a pink base instead of trying to get it opaque on it´s own. That´s a good way to use it if you want the bottle to last longer too!

Ztiz - 06

Another boring budget polish which has no name. I bought it at a place in Mariestad called "Dollar Store". It was kind of a weird shop, not at all like the Dollar Stores in the US. Far from everything was priced for a dollar and it was big and built in a way so you couldn't walk in any other way but around the whole freakin store to get to the checkout. I hate stores designed like that.

Manicure: Two coats of "06".
Application: A little goopy, but ok.
Grade: 2

This nail polish is just like a Swedish version of Kleancolor. Even the bottles and tops have similar design. Most of all, they smell the same awful, stinky scent. I can barely stand it, they smell even after they dry. I am still debating with myself whether the cheap price on these polishes justifies the smell. What the heck do they put in those? Aside from that it is a nice enough polish, fairly easy to work with and it shimmers nicely in its own subtle blue-gray way.

KBShimmer - Excuse Me I Blurpled

Almost Friday! And thank goodness for that, I was quite unfairly treated at work today, accused of something I haven´t done (don´t we all love when that happens?) and will have to confront some people about it tomorrow. How I look forward to that! I will spend the evening today polishing my nails in some daring color to give me strength to deal with it all in the morning. And because of that I´m feeling a little po I am going to post a polish I don´t like. Whaaaaat????

2 coats and Seche Vite.

Like I said earlier, I don´t like this. When I googled it to buy it it looked way lighter to me than it does in reality. So I was disappointed when I started applying it. The base is so dark it almost looks black and the glitter kind of drowns in it. This is not a keeper, anyone who want´s to by it? ; )

Dollish Polish - I´m Not Crazy My Mother Had Me Tested

I don´t feel very inspired to write something today so I´ll just proceed to the polish!

Sponged glitter over Ztiz No. 06.

Sponged over Nivea "Yellow Sparkle".

This glitter topper is fantastic. It´s was hard to get on the nail using the brush but with the sponging method it was easy. The polish really has a crazy mix of all kinds and shapes of glitters.

Here is a list of some of the glitters I found in that little treasure of a bottle:
Round matte black
Red squares
Orange hexes
Round orange mini
Light yellow hexes
Squared green
White hexes
White bars
Blue hexes
Black mini squares
Black medi squares
Purple mini squares
Blue-green foil shards
Green hexes
Silver hexes

Yep, there sure is a lot going on in there!

Revlon - Girly

It´s about time I post a polish which has my favorite color of all, pink. I just realized that I haven´t really posted that many pink manis. It´s a little funny cause what I have most of are pink polishes.

2 coats, topcoat.

This polish is so cute, it gives off a serious vibe of Indie to me. If I have a hard time to choose what to wear a specific day, I can always pick this one. Too me it works in all situations!

H & M - Electra

After two whole days (!) at work I find myself exhausted, and am glad I get a soft start having a day off tomorrow. I am celebrating that by posting another ugly couple of pictures, presenting nice polishes though!

1 coat of glitter over Zoya "Bobbi" and 1 coat of SV.

I like combining glitter with a matching base color. This is a perfect example of that. It´s a great combination in my book. If I ever end up doing it again I will add several coats of top polish, I could definitely create a sense of depth, like they do with jelly glitter polishes, using that method.

Gina Tricot - Green Dot

Onwards to greener pastures! At least with todays blog post, not exactly in real life where it´s more like gray and brown pastures. Or something.

1 easy coat of glitter over Nordic Cap of Sweden "NP 28".

I really like this combo, it gives me a feeling of spring. The very first buds on the trees, the fine little points sticking up in my flowerbed, the only color in the black soil in early spring. A great mani. I´ve been happily surprised about how nice the polishes from Gina Tricot are, both the glitters and the cremes. I´ll make sure to post some more about this brand in the near future.

Crazy Polish Lady - Under the Sea

One more day of holidays, then it´s back to business at work. I am working with something as glamorous as scrubbing down toilets for office people. It really is not as bad as it sounds, mostly I just clean offices and corridors. The weird part is that I work at the same building as my hubs, so I sometimes end up cleaning not only after him at home, but at work as well. The absolute worst part of being a professional cleaner is that it´s hard to make the manicures last for more than a day or two. It´s sure gives me a reason to change my manis often.

4 coats (!) and top coat.

For me this was a sheer polish to work with. Perhaps it´s meant for layering? I like seeing a polish like this to be opaque on it´s own. The finish is pretty chunky, but I´m not crazy about smooth surfaces so I didn´t mind. It was also hard to get the bigger glitter pieces out. I love the color however, so for me it´s a keeper.
