Brand Presentation - Glam of Sweden

Glam of Sweden is the definition of a budget brand. They are very cheap, smell like toxin and about half of them aren´t even useable. As always I find it impossible to stay away from any kind of nail polish without even trying it first so here we go.



Weekly Polish Haul - Week 8

This week marks the end of the Depend Holographic Collection. I think I mentioned before that it´s a pretty old collection and quite hard to get a hold of nowadays. Even though most of them take a little work to get opaque and an Aqua Base is necessary they are well worth it.

This weeks haul contains a few mainstreams. I am very happy about it cause it contains a lot of sugar polishes which takes me closer to my goal; to collect all the sugar polishes there is!

Depend 2036 - Ocean Green

 

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", three coats of "Ocean Green" + Seche Vite.
Application: Very sheer. Three coats is a have-to.
Grade: 4

Depend 2035 - Laurel Green

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", three coats of "Laurel Green" + Seche Vite.
Application: Very sheer and watery.
Grade: 4

Depend 2034 - Steel Blue

 

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", four coats of "Steel Blue" + Seche Vite.
Application: Super sheer. Most amazing holo ever.
Grade: 5

Depend 2033 - Ocean Blue

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", three coats of "Ocean Blue" + Seche Vite.
Application: Sheer and a bit draggy.
Grade: 5

Collection Week - Depend Holographic part 3

It´s snowing. It´s snowing a lot. And then a few days of rain. And snow and rain and frost. I wish the weather could just make up its mind. At least it has gotten lighter out in the evenings now and that certainly helps a lot. What also makes my day brighter is holographic nail polish. A whole lot of it!

I must admit I totally overdid myself on that one, broke all my promises to myself and to my wallet. It´s just so worth living on noodles for a week for these jewels. <3

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base" , two coats of "Denim Blue" + Seche Vite.
Application: A little patchy despite the Aqua Base. Should have used three coats.
Grade: 4

Depend 2031 - Lavender

 

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", three coats of "Lavender" + Seche Vite.
Application: Very sheer but oh so lovely!
Grade: 4

Depend 2030 - Plum

 

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", three coats of "Plum" + Seche Vite.
Application: A little bit sheer but easy to apply.
Grade: 5

Depend 2029 - Charm Pink

 

Manicure: Nfu Oh "Aqua Base", two coats of "Charm Pink" + Seche Vite.
Application: Not quite as sheer as the others.
Grade: 4

Collection Week - Depend Holographic part 2

Here comes the second part of Depend´s holo goodness. The first week contained a lot of sheer polishes and a lot of grade 5 colors. It´s going to be interesting to see how this week will turn out!

The Zoya Pixie Dust polishes has always been a big part of my wish list. Especially the ones with a creamier base. So when I had a little bit of extra money before Christmas I decided to order all the ones I want from EBay. I haven´t tried any of them yet, but I won´t have to before making my statement; they are awesome!

Application: It´s sheer like most of them but no problem with application.
