Glam of Sweden - "Snow Polish No. 04"

I don´t like polishes with no names. Half the fun (well maybe not half but anyway) with being a nail polish collector is enjoying all the crazy names the different brands come up with. Sometimes I tell my boyfriend about a name or two and we laugh out loud!

(wow, what a nice bottle shot, duh!)

Sponged on glitter and glossy top coat over Glam of Sweden "Crystal Sand No.23".

This glitter is super cute! It takes some digging in the bottle and scraping it of on the sponge to get it look nice but it´s well worth it. There are blue, white and magenta hex glitter in there as well as white bar glitter and white micro glitter. I also think the combo turned out really well.

H & M - Precious

Today has been good! I spent my afternoon after working hours cleaning some old bridle parts and putting them together. An organization called "Hundhjälpen" (The Dog Help) is not only working to rescue street dogs but are also trying to make the life for horses in Rumania a little easier. They are now holding a campaign where you can send them horse tack and other items to be given to horses in need. I have a lot of old things lying around and have decided to fill a box full of stuff and try to help out a little. Horses are the most precious animal to me, so here comes the polish; H & M - Precious!

Two coats of perfect application and SV.

This is one of (if not the one) first new H & M nail polishes I tried. And I was astonished! I melted on like butter (is that a good thing really?) and looks so gorgeous. It also is my first time ever to use a duo chrome polish. It sparkles in yellow, gold and reddish brown. Perhaps I should pay my nearest
H & M shop a visit this weekend...

Isadora - Pink Crush

This is one of my favorite sugar crush polishes ever. It´s just so me.

Two coats and that is all.

These pictures are super ancient. What I mean by that is that they were taken almost two years from now. A long time before I even knew there was something called nail polish blogs. They do look ok though. Good enough to be posted I believe. There is nothing to be said about the polish except from; it´s perfect. I love all the Isadora sugar crush nail polishes.

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 16

In Sweden we have an equivalent to eBay called Tradera. It pretty much works the same way, you outbid each outer and pay way too much for what you want. Actually, to be honest, it is sometimes a great place to find and get pretty rare nail polishes for a cheap price.

China Glaze "GR8", "FYI", "TTYL" and "Let´s Do It In 3D".

China glaze "Naked", "Harmony" and "Splish Splash".

I got these bottles for an average of 50kr a bottle which is quite the steal price for China Glaze polishes here in Sweden. Especially the rarer holographic ones. They sometimes sell for as much as 200kr since they are a little htf. I am very happy about this weeks haul!

Miyo - 05 Butterfly Nebula

This morning a forgot to turn off the alarm for my workday get-up time; 5:00. So of course it went off and my doggie went totally wild and wanted to get up. At 5. On a Saturday. It sucks big time.

Like all Miyo polishes I´ve shown; 2 coats and top coat.

This is the finale of my Brand Presentation week. It´s been inspiring to try out a brand a lot like this and present it here. I will definitely do it again! This nail polish is much the same as the one yesterday, it´s just a pink version of it. Now I am going to spend the day trying to find that lost bottle of "Andromeda". It´s got to be hiding somewhere!

Miyo - 04 Milky Way

After a hectic day without any sense I am making time to sit down for two minutes to post todays blog entry.

Two coats and Seche Vite.

This polish is just as strange as the other ones I´ve tried. And almost just as pretty! It looks very glittery in the bottle but on the nail it looks kind of foily. The bottle is full of silvery shards (I guess I could call them flakes, but they are so much bigger than flakes) which are hard to make lie flat on the nail. Some of them even stuck up and became kind of sharp to the touch. Like the other ones the goopy application is worth it due to it´s look, I´d use it again many times.

Miyo - Andromeda

Manicure: Two coats of "Andromeda" + Seche Vite.
Application: Se text below.
Grade: 4

This is my favorite Miyo polish of all the ones I have. It is so unique, so sparkly and different. To my utter horror I have managed to loose the bottle. Lose it! How can a bottle of nail polish simply disappear? I´ve basically looked everywhere but it´s nowhere to be found. Maybe it will just come out one day in a year or two. I sure do hope so.
When I first opened the bottle it seemed totally dried out even though it had just been delivered to me by the web shop where I bought it. I shook the bottle and could detect some life in there. After pouring a lot of thinner into it and shaking it like crazy it was usable. I had the same problem with all my glitter Miyo polishes, but this one took the prize.

Miyo - 02 Cassiopeia

The second polish for my Miyo themed week.

Two coats and a top coat.

This is a glitter polish with a dark green jelly base. Just like the previous one it was goopy to apply. It is totally worth it though, I do think it looks really nice on the nails. I do wish I had better pictures of it though!

Miyo - 01 Perseids

The first Miyo nail polish for my presentation themed week!

Two coats and top polish.

This is a very unique nail polish indeed. I have never seen anything quite like it. It makes it worth the weird formula. It really is weird. At first it´s kind of thick and goopy, then it turns sort of "dry" after having the bottle open for a bit. Next time I will use it thinning it out will be necessary. I will definitely use it again, I love the look and sparkliness!

Brand Presentation - Miyo

Today I am going to start a series of post I will call Brand Presentation. Just like the name says I will search out som information about different brands and present them here. The week that follows I´ll show a few polishes made of the specific brand. Here we go!

Miyo "Nailed It" glitter polishes.

Miyo sure is a hard brand to start a presentation with. I can find very little about it online. They have a Facebook page which shows you a link to "Miyo UK" that takes you nowhere. This polish is quite easy to get ahold of here in Sweden via cosmetic web shops. I bought my samples from "Eleven". Miyo also make make-up products such as mascara and lip-gloss.
As far as I know their main lines are "Mini Drops" and "Nailed It". "Mini Drops" are different colored creme polishes which are all scented. I have not been able to get ahold of any of them, they seem to be out of production, so I can not say whether they actually smell or not. "Nailed It" comes with all kinds of finishes. I, of course, aimed right for the glittery ones.

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 15

This week I got a hold of a few polishes from a brand I´ve never heard of before; Pretty Jelly. It is an indie brand, but that is all I know about it. I am going to have to do some research here...

Pretty Jelly "Aestival", "Redivivus", "Roseate" and "Floweret".

Like I said, I don´t have a clue what these are about but they sure look lovely!

Darling Diva - Pink Diamond

It´s been a long day. I´ve been to the dentists investigating the possibility of remodeling my teeth. Sounds rather scary. And it kind of is. I´ve been having problems with my front teeth for a long time now and I am so sick of it.

Two coats and top polish.

This is a lovely, dusty lilac holo. The first coat dragged like crazy so I strongly suggest aqua base for this one. And be warned, it also stains. A lot. So at least two coats of regular base polish, one of aqua base, then two coats of "Pink Diamond" and finally a glossy top coat is what I suggest for this manicure. It is not a on-the-go mani for sure. But I think it´s worth it, it really is a pretty one.

Gina Tricot - Disco Fever

Just look at this super sparkly treasure! It´s great, it´s grand, it´s beautiful! I admit it, I have been watching too much "Justified" again. My hubs is even complaining about me starting to get the accent they are using in the show when I speak. I just love that series so much!

Two coats to get it opaque! (and a top coat)

It really is a truly nice polish. A fast mani to do when you´re on the go! I wish Gina Tricot still made awesome stuff like this one, but sadly they have started getting low with their nail polish production. And they used to have such great prices too...

Glam Polish - Pentacle

Manicure: Two coats of "Pentacle" and a top coat.
Note: I am not much for dark polishes, but when they sparkle and are as holographic as this one it´s a winner even fore me.
Grade: 3

Isadora - Love Crush

I am sorry for the lack of post yesterday. I simply forgot due to a massive migraine attack which, after my darling fixed me a pill for it, basically made me pass out. I slept about thirteen hours and felt a little better this morning. Now to the polish!

Two perfect coats. (why am I holding my dog leash here??)

I´m going to be a little funny and say; I love Love Crush. It is simply perfect, formula wise, color wise and durability wise. I just realized that I am posting two Isadora polishes in a row but whatever. They are nice enough for that!

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 14

The weekend was just as marvelous as I hoped for. The weather was terrific, sunny and no wind, and my hubs and I took a two hour walk with Lucy (our dog) across the moors of Österplana. It is a big nature preservative which stretches across Kinnekulle where we have our summer house. It is so relaxing to just stroll around in nature like that, watching streams cutting through the landscape and the green grass starting to sprout from the ground. But most of all I love spending time outdoors with the ones I love the most.

"Smooth Criminal" & "Runt", "Moonlight Glow", "Concrete Jungle" & Shimmering Waters".

Not a bad haul for this week! They are all holos and it somehow easily becomes that way. From not owning a single CbL bottle I have increased my collection with quite a few the past few months. These are all purchased from a girl at the nail polish Facebook group I´m in.

Isadora - Star Struck

This is another attempt to try to schedule a post. Like I said in yesterdays (hm, todays) post I will be trying to stay over at my summer house today. So let´s just give it a try!

One dabbed coat over Claudia "Baby Girl".

I haven´t made any notes about this glitter topper, but it sure looks lovely! The most unique thing with the Isadora Holographic Nails polishes are that they contain square glitter. It´s very sparkly and I am quite happy how the base and glitter combination turned out.

Lilypad Lacquer - Sherbet Sprinkles

It´s been a rough couple of days with hospital visits and pouring rain. Tonight it looks like the weather is clearing up a little and hopefully we will get to enjoy a nice weekend. I´m going to try to cheer myself up a little by showing a truly nice polish. The only Lilypad I own as a matter of fact (shame on me!).

Two coats and Seche Vite.

I just had to post a lot of pictures of this one because it´s so darn beautiful. There isn´t much else to say about it; IT`S SO DARN BEAUTIFUL!!!
