Color Week - Yellow

I was actually planning another theme for this week, but ended up picking this one instead since I didn´t get around to finish up all the swatches for it. I tried to pick out a few different yellows; like mainstreams and indies and different finishes.

 

Weekly Polish Haul - Week 21

It´s been a long, difficult, confusing week. One of my horses has gone lame and I am really upset about it. I was supposed to go to a competition with him next week and now that won´t happen. Oh well, that´s how life with horses are. Luckily I can drench my sorrows in nail polish!

O.P.I - The Power Of Pink

 

Manicure: Three coats of "The Power Of Pink" + Seche Vite.
Application: Good. Covers well for a crelly glitter.
Grade: 3

O.P.I - My Private Jet

 

Manicure: Two coats of "My Private Jet" + Seche Vite.
Application: Should have used three coats. Some bald patches are showing after just two.
Grade: 3

O.P.I - Italian Love Affair

 

Manicure: Nail Pattern Boldness "Glitter-a-peel", two coats of "Italian Love Affair" + Seche Vite.
Application: Dries fast so I had to be quick to get the strokes even.
Grade: 2

O.P.I - Dutch Ya Just Love O.P.I

 

Manicure: Isadora "Peel-off-base", two coats of "Dutch Ya Just Love O.P.I" + Seche Vite.
Application: No problem.
Grade: 3

Brand Presentation - O.P.I

It would surprise me greatly if anyone who reads this doesn´t know what O.P.I is. I will still write a little about the brand just for fun. O.P.I is a mainstream brand which is available around the world both online and in certain stores. In Sweden it is ridiculously expensive and not a polish I would ever spend that kind of money on. Most of the bottles I have I have bought second hand or if I have found a sale.



Weekly Polish Haul - Week 20

As some of you might have noticed I´ve been taking a week´s break from the blogging business. I know I should have said something about it, but I simply didn´t get around to do it. The reason is VACATION! I spent a wonderful week at my cottage in the country together with Mark and my doggie. It´s been a lot of time spent outdoors in the yard and in the woods. But now I am back in business with the blogging!

Application: Very hard.

Isadora - Wine Crush

 

Manicure: Two-three coats of "Wine Crush".
Application: Like most Isadora sugar polishes it takes s few coats for full coverage.
Grade: 3

H & M - Amaranthine

 

Manicure: Three coats of "Amaranthine" + Seche Vite.
Application: Needs at least three coats.
Grade: 4

Depend - No. 478

 

Manicure: Three coats of "No. 478".
Application: Sheer but good. An amazingly sparkly duochrome polish!
Grade: 4

Swedish Brand Week

I have vacation!! Two whole weeks off from work and hell if I am going to do any cleaning at home. I am going to spend my time in the woods as much as possible and of course play around with my nail polishes. This week I will show off a few different Swedish brands of polish. All four of them are common here and easy to get a hold off.

Yet again I have a polish haul that comes from a flea market I visited a week ago. As I talk to fellow nail polish collectors not many of them seem to have discovered what a goldmine a flea market event can be. Well, I am glad I have, these Depend glitters have been very sought after for me for a long time and now they are mine for only 5crowns a piece!



Depend No. "4026", "4025", "4027" and "4029" + Oriflame "Pink Intense" and Loréal "Scarlet Vamp".

Zoya - Lux

 

Manicure: Isadora "Peel Off Base" and two coats of "Lux".
Application: A little tricky due to the large glitter.
Grade: 3

Kiko - 452 Watermelon

 

Manicure: Three coats of "Watermelon".
Application: A little sheer.
Grade: 4

Julie G - Crushed Candy

 

Manicure: Two coats of "Crushed Candy".
Application: Splendid.
Grade: 4

China Glaze - Unrefined

 

Manicure: Two coats of "Unrefined".
Application: Very thick which made it hard to work with. My copy might need thinning. Very worth it though.
