A few years ago I bought myself another horse. He was imported from Ireland and then sold to a couple of girls in Sweden who couldn´t ride him. Which means of course he was the horse for me (aka I always manage to take water above my head). After years of training him I haven´t gotten very far and feel more and more frustrated about the situation. So I decide to try to find out more about his past in order to get a better understanding of what´s wrong with him (or me).
So, after a little research I find out that he has never been ridden like a horse-back-riding horse, he has only been trained and ridden as a race-horse. Which means he has never been taught how to turn and stop and obey his rider, only to run as fast as he can as soon as he gets someone on his back. Which is exactly how he behaves.
I feel so sorry for him, I feel sorry for myself and am thinking about the situation a lot. I strongly doubt that I have the knowledge and courage to re-train him and still I love my horse a whole lot!
Anyway, this week is dedicated for H & M. They have some really nice multichromes in their collection well worth looking into.
